New Cavallin BBP Models!

New patterns and styles to dress up your Bareback Pad! Made with the same amazing Cavallin BBP base, which has an integrated wool pad, low profile inserts to provide some spine clearance while still giving the rider all the close contact and immediate feel of their horse, a real supportive cantle, just like the Ghost saddles, and velcro adjustable stirrup hangers. These are still bareback pads and while more supportive than most others on the market, they aren't meant for full time, full weight stirrup use. But since you can make sure your stirrups are hung right were you need them, you can pick them up easily if needed.
Because of all this design, we call these close contact saddles because they're much more than a bareback pad with a small spine clearance, real cantle, thigh blocks and 100% adjustable stirrup hangers for those times you do need stirrups.
Rest your cursor over the images to see the name for each. The Livorno, Siena, Tango, and Grosseto have thigh blocks, with the Livorno having more of a classic saddle look and the Siena options for 3 fun colors. The Arezzo is cushy with a stitched seat and flap. The Pisa has a baroque look with multiple color options and no blocks. The Tango is classy and cushy with fixed blocks. The ones without blocks can be ordered with blocks under the flap. See Color/Materials here.
These are brand new and I don't have any in stock. I don't require someone to demo a BBP before ordering since they are much simpler than the regular Ghost saddles. So if you are interested in ordering, go for it, or feel free to email with any questions and we will put together a very fun bareback pad for you and your horse!

Tango

Elegant saddle with flap stitching and super secure thigh blocks. Extra comfort for the transition from seat to flap with the stitched flap. This model was super popular among the new BBP styles so a version was made for the regular Ghost base. Suitable for endurance, trail, arena.

Cavallin Mandriana Quaddro BBP

The Cavallin line of bareback pads are nothing short of amazing. For those who are familiar with Christ BBPs, this has similar features, but adds a more substantial cantle and an adjustable stirrup ring. Rider stability is excellent and rather than having to reach for a one-size-fits-all stirrup position, it's right there when you need it. There are also panel inserts to protect the spine. The Mandriana Quaddro is made with gorgeous long fiber sheepskins and has a square flap. The bottom wool layer can be removed for easy cleaning. I've tested this BBP with a pressure sensor pad and while it's still recommended as a BBP, not meant for constant stirrup use, the weight distribution is excellent even with light stirrup use.

Cavallin Mandriana Toscana BBP

Similar to the Quaddro underneath, the Toscana is for those who don't prefer the long fiber sheepskin. Suede is a fun alternative with many, many color options. You can also choose no block, external velcro block, or a velcro block beneath the main flap. Blocks cost extra.

Buttera

Looking for a deep seat? Fabulous security? The new Buttera is available as either a regular Ghost/Cavallin saddle or a Bareback Pad. Materials are limited to suede (ask for color ranges), micronappa and Lorica or you can order nubuck for an extra cost. Note - the deep seat has a slightly smaller feel, so you may need to consider going up a size.
$950.00

Buttera Maxxi

The new Buttera Maxxi has even more security than the standard Buttera because it's got a 4cm higher cantle. This saddle looks like the saddle knights used for jousting! It's available as either a regular Ghost/Cavallin saddle or a Bareback Pad. Materials are limited to suede (ask for color ranges) and Lorica or nubuck for an extra cost. The stitching pattern is slightly different than the Buttera as well - shown in the first two pics (the others are the standard Buttera to show color options).
Note - the deep seat has a slightly smaller feel, so you may need to consider going up a size.
Customer comment!
If you're not getting any younger (check) joints getting a bit creaky (check) or simply the owner of a very silly horse with an overdeveloped sense of humour (check, check, check) then this saddle is for you. It is the most secure saddle I have ever sat on, or rather in, as it embraces you like an armchair. If your beloved equine slams on the brakes because a stone has moved since the last time you rode this path - no problem. If he/she goes from 0-30 due to a pheasant ambush, again, no problem, you are held by the large pommel in front and the high cantle behind. I truly believe it to be the most secure saddle on the market today and am delighted to own one.

Buttera Vittorio

The Vittorio is based upon the Buttera design but made for very young children who aren't ready for a regular saddle and need additional balance support. The seat is 25cm or 10" and suitable for kids up to 6yo or so.
Materials are limited to suede (ask for color ranges) and Lorica as these can follow the extreme curves and are grippy for additional security.

Cavallin Mini / Midi

Here's a perfect saddle for youngsters! The Ghost Mini has the Cavallin base and integrated pad of the Bareback Pad models (Mandriana, Toscana, etc) but a seat styled after the standard Ghost models. And it's 30cm (12") from pommel to cantle - compared to 15" for the same measurement on the bambini (16") models, so 3" smaller!
The Midi is a slightly larger version of the Mini, also on the Cavallin BBP base and in between the Mini and a Bambini for size at 2" bigger along the spine but otherwise dimensions are the same.
The stirrup hanger is velcro so can be adjusted as your child grows.
For an even smaller, super secure saddle for toddlers, check out the Buttera Vittorio.

Cavallin Crusader

Hidden pommel, smooth seat skirt, stirrup anchor and girth rigging integrated into flap for excellent weight distribution across the length of the saddle.
The innovation to distribute weight through the flaps across the length of the saddle was made by Torsion (also designed by Camillo Cavallin) years ago and popularized in the US and Canada through Sensation saddles.

Cavallin Heritage

Comfy saddle with external blocks, fixed stirrup strap with girth rigging integrated into the flap to distribute weight across the length of the saddle.

Cavallin Pioneer

This model is a combination of the Heritage and Crusader (my personal favorite bits of each!) and with the flap moved back 1.5". This is to correspond with me using the rear stirrup ring and having short legs so the Cavallin models aren't ideal for me. This worked great for my mare who dislikes moving legs - excellent stability!
